Cotton Anniversary

Hello Crafters

What a lovely drop of sunshine we have had today, makes you feel all shiny and new doesn’t it, and I hope your week has been a good one.

It’s been a busy week with house viewings but no luck yet, so Saturday was our first ‘free’ day in ages so I had a dilemma, do I craft cards or make that skirt! Well the skirt won and I’m super pleased it did. I have been itching to make this for a while and although a simple skirt it looks real smart.

This is the same skirt and look at the colour difference! The bottom right is the truest colour – Sage Green and it is a linen material and I finished it yesterday and as you can see, it needs pressing, so today it will be pressed ready for work tomorrow.

On Friday it was my son’s 2nd wedding anniversary (where did that time go, remember all the work for the wedding invitations!) and this means it’s a cotton anniversary, and I felt like the card needed to feel new and modern, so I just literally went wherever the creation took me. To be honest I felt a little out of my comfort zone, but I was thinking of the recipients of the card and what a young newly married couple would probably like, here it is see what you think.

These were all the pictures I took, so sorry there isn’t many. Must have got distracted during the photo session! Instead of the usual white or silver or red hearts, I went for the more pastel shades, and I think it worked.

Splatter Birthday!

Hello Crafters

How’s this week going, and whoever switched off the sunshine kindly change the fuse and put in back on this instant! Sometimes feels like we are living in another universe doesn’t it, and try as I might folks to get my perfect weather solution into practice, my idea of rain all night and sunshine all day, is just not reaching the ears of the one’s in charge obviously! I’ll keep trying, honestly!!!

Today I thought I would share my nephew’s card, as I hope he has got it by now.

Items Used:

This was very quick and simple card with a little experimental stamping thrown in. I loved the way the colour splatters were bright and cheerful and didn’t want to hide them with a sentiment, so I stamped onto acetate with Black Stazon ink, and it worked a treat.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

Hugs
