Pop Up Box with a difference!

Hello Crafters

Have you had a good weekend? I am a little late today posting as we had family round for dinner, and I think I bored them silly with all the healthy food talk, of which I am now an avid fan. Mind you I have also never eaten so much in my life!

Talking about healthy, it was Mr Kim’s birthday last week, so the theme for my little pop up was about veggies. So cute these little Lawn Fawn fellas!

Here you can see the box folded flat ready to send:

Then you release the box and up it pops!:

Although it looks like just a pop up box, it has a secret….the little name tags pull up to show another veggie underneath! It was my first veggie box but also my first slider too!

I used the Lawn Fawn Slider dies to make the holes. It was quite complex to get the slider in the right place, but it looks like the veggies are all ready to harvest. Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders was used as the strutts in between to connect the other veggies to and keep the box shape.

The box was made using Spellbinders scalloped pop up box and then covered in the paper.

I used blue fun foam cut with Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds for the backdrop. They were all stamped with Memento Inks, and the Misty tool was used, so I could stamp the images twice to get a real indepth colour to them. These are just so much fun, and there is no end to  what you can do with them.

Well I hope you had a super sunday with good company and fine food. Have a wonderful week.

Stickles Storage & Fun Makes

Hello Crafters

Forgive me for missing last week, I actually managed to get out of the cycle of work, work, sleep, work, work, craft amd trundled orf to Ally Pally Crafting Show for the day last weekend, and it was a lovely day out, and felt great to be among like minded people for the day. I even got to meet and have a quick chat to Barbara Gray of Clarity, what a talented lady! Her stall was mobbed all day, and yes I spent more there than anywhere else as I love the Wee Folk and Stencils.

So I had worked out prior to going what stalls I wanted to visit, and went to Inkylicious, Clarity and Clever Cut/Stamp Away first. I browsed all the other stores too, but I had a list of which I managed  to find majority of things, but could not find ANYWHERE Tuxedo Black refill ink and a black gel pen! Inkylicious owner Deby, did help me out and offer to get them for me, and I have now emailed and waiting for a response.

So whilst I was there I bought the Stickles Storage Holder, and I had so much fun decorating the Distress Ink Holders that I bought from them last year, I couldn’t wait to decorate this.

So I just painted the whole thing with Docraft Artiste Mettalic Antique Gold that I had bought from The Range, more or less just added distress inks as the mood took me and stamp till I liked what I saw. The background card behind the stickles was Anne-Marie Design card that I bought whilst I was there, I love the dotty card! It comes as a flat pack and I put it together in about 5 minutes, and the holes were all perfectly cut so fitted together like a dream! You can get these online and I think they are great value for storage of all things crafty.

Alas, I should have got 2, as this is only half of my Stickles collection and it also fits liquid pearls, so when the bank manager has recovered from my spending spree and he lets me have some more money, I am going to buy another 🙂

This weekend I had a little play with one of my other purchases, which I was so shocked to find there. A company called Be Creative, who do not have a website, which is a shame, had Lawn Fawn stamps and dies! I was blown away, as I didn’t expect anyone to be selling them, and best of all, they had eveything I wanted and more (I had to stop myself from emptying the stall). So I created a little card, which was so fun to do, and has found a home already!

I used Lawn Fawn Rooting For You, Stitched Hillside Borders and Puffy Clouds. For the background, Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw Distress Inks. The earth I used Ground Espresso and Gather Twigs. A little Tumbled Glass for the clouds. Dew Drop Memento inks for the veggies and the Misti tool to get the stamping right, just pure fun with these little veggies! The envelopes were some I got from Papermill and they are really good quality 136 gsm envelopes 146 mm x 146mm sq and I stamped them with this beautiful Just For You stamps to personalise. Inside greeting stamped with Clarity Letterbox.

Next I had a birthday card to make and I used the Visible Image stamps, Universal, Ink Splats and Jazz It Up. The word stamps are Paper Smooches Slang Gang.

Well that’s it for now crafters, got to go do housework, I know, I know but a  girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!

Thanks for dropping in, hope to see you soon 🙂

Little Stamps, Big Fun!

Hello Crafters

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine on this lovely day. I have popped in during my birthday celebrations to post a few little cards for you to see. I just had the most fun making these and simply want to share them.

Here’s a little birthday card for someone’s wonderful Grandma/Nan. I wanted to make it happy and vibrant and to protect the colour, so I covered them with Glossy Accents. The little figures were coloured using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens and the background is made with distress inks. The stamps and dies are from Lawn Fawn – Mom & Me, Stitched Hillside Borders, Party Animals,  SB 5 x 7 Matting Basics A and SB 5 x 7 Matting Basics B

Here is a really happy party going on, again using these lovely little critters, who is eagerly awaiting the party to start! Made with the same Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens and distress inks for the background and the Lawn Fawn Party Animals stamps and Party Animals lawn cuts, and some of the leftover flowers from the previous card. Background hills from Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders.

Well just a quick pit stop today, and hopefully tomorrow, I can show some more. Before I go I just want to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to Lawn Fawn customers services who help replace 2 tiny dies that went missing whilst I was crafting, never to be seen again…..I hope my dog didn’t eat them as he appears to eat everything else!

If you are interested in either of these cards, just leave a comment below and I will get back to you.

Hope the sun keeps shining for you!
