It’s The Gingerbread Man!

Hello Crafters

Well I really didn’t want to post these cards already, particularly as the weather has been so hot, but I have been busy having fun with my grandsons, so haven’t had time to make this weekend, so I have had to dip into my ‘ready mades’ to share with you today.

KSC - Gingerbread House (1)

I wasn’t even looking to buy a christmas die when this just jumped up in my face screaming ‘BUY ME, BUY ME, BBBUUUYYY MMMEE’ and of course, that ol’ devil on my shoulder won again, and I did just that, but as an impulse buy, it is brilliant, and to top it off I went in The Range to buy some glue, and they happened to have an Xcut offer (Buy 2 for £5) and I got the little gingerbread man, who whispered ‘Please give me a home for Christmas’ and I didn’t want him to cry as he would go all soggy, and he fitted the scene perfectly!

To make the scene I used Nellie Snellen Fence, Cheery Lynn Gingerbread House, Xcut Gingerbread Man, Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles, Justrite Christmas Inner Thoughts stamp. The background is made with Stampin Up Softly Falling which I think is retired as I bought this in a sale at the beginning of the year, highlighted with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Stickles Crystal.

I used lots of different scraps of card to make the cuts fill with colour. The base card was from Papermill Direct card. At the moment they have some beautiful new intensive colours and the quality is excellent. The ’25th Dec’ is made with chipboard and was painted with Artiste Paint in Metallic Antique Gold.

I had as much fun making this as I do looking at it, even though it is a Christmas Card, it was so worth sharing with you!

Hope you all have a wonderful bank holiday Monday.

Hugs
