With Love & A Little Gift

Hello Crafters

Have you had a wonderful crafty week? Been creative and ideas flowing? I hope so!

My brain had been thinking (Never a good idea according to Mr Kim!) and I think I talk too much on my blog, so I am going to try and shorten the written stuff, and give you more visuals, as I am well aware that we all have really busy lives, and mine just got really busy, as from tomorrow am back in the world of full time work!!!!

So here you go:

This was made for a friend and I wanted to add a little gift too. The following was used to make them:

The calendar was made the same as some I did before, and you can see that post here.

The Card:

Happy Crafting!

You Get Better With Age

Hello Crafters

How has your week been so far? Here we have been enjoying the company of family, our first visitors in our new home since the building works were finished and time has been flying, so much so I missed my regular post yesterday, but I hope you can forgive me as we had a lot of catching up to do 🙂

I did manage to make a card this week and it was something that has been spinning around my head, which was experimenting with stencils and distress inks. The result was this:

Item Used:

As you can tell I love bright colours, and I have been doing some colouring classes and wanted to bring some colours together to make you feel good and smile, whilst using multiple stencils to create a background image. I used the texture stamps to add a bit of pzazz to the corners. To make the colour pop, I used a black fine liner round the shapes. Think it came together quite well.

Hope you have a great week.

Playing Around

Hello Crafters

How has your week been? We did manage a few really lovely sunny spring days here, and it makes you feel like a new person, but we also had a few miserable ones, so on these days crafters head straight for the craft goodies, don’t we, never a rainy day in the crafting stakes 🙂

As I have been away from crafting for a while, I thought I would just have a little tinker about and see what would happen. So first I came across a die purchase that I managed to buy at a really good rate, but when I got it, I must say I was a little disappointed. It was much smaller than I thought, and it was a Tattered Lace die – Midi Side Stepper Die, which I tend to avoid as I think they are way over priced. I also wanted to try and use up those bits of scrap we hang onto, as we always know they are good for something, so I put the two together and came up with this.

It’s really small, and on the back I cut and stamped a tone on tone piece of pink card so you can write your greeting on and it has double sided tape so you can adhere it when you are ready. It’s about the size of an A2 (UK Size). Sweet but small.

Next I ventured a little further (getting my mojo going), and decided to use another of my purchases Creative Expressions – Australian Collection Background that I had been staring at for ages hoping for that massive lightening bolt to hit you with an idea, and I think finally, it made contact!

Now this I like! I used Creative Expressions – Configurations Elegant Lace Edger Die to frame the inside and MFT – Dienamics Stitched Tags for the sentiment. Inside the card I used MFT – Birthday Greetings Sentiment Stamp. I also used an embossing folder for the inside background with leaves but I haven’t a clue which one it is!

Last but not least I made a couple of Easter Cards

I used Lawn Fawn – Chirpy Chirp Chirp Stamp and Dies & Puffy Clouds & Grassy Border & Stitched Squares, Mama Elephant – Lunar Animals.

Well I think that’s it for now. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter.
