Well what a lovely weekend it has been, glorious sunshine, and I received happy news from both my children, (no I’m not going to be a nanny again), just life battles finally being won!
It was also my brothers birthday, and however much he tried to ignore the fact, he couldn’t stop it happening, as I am sure many of us try to, so I wanted a simple quirky card to give him something to smile about (can’t do anything about the age thing though dear brother, and if you keep asking me to get my witches cauldron out and mix you a youth serum, I will turn you into a fat hairy toad!)
To be really honest, it was one of those, ‘should only take 5 minutes’ that turned into an hour, as my initial idea didn’t go to plan, so improvisation took a bow, and we ended up with this, which I really sort of like, and the more I saw it, the more I liked it.
All made with scraps of card that I can’t bear to throw away. The sentiments were both from Woodware – Birthday Moves, these have been invaluable since I bought them, and the other sentiment is a large clear stamp from Honeydoo, perfect for the inside. The ‘brother’ sentiment is from Cheery Lynn Design, cut twice once is dark blue card, one in blue fun foam and stuck together with a quickie glue pen. This was stuck on the MFT Die-namics Stax Stitched Fishtail Flag.
Well that’s it for now, hope the sun has shined gloriously on you all.
Have a lovely week.
