Sharing Knowledge

Hello Crafters

How are you coping with these winter evenings, with difficulty I think! It is bitterly cold out there today, but the sunny days are still enjoyable with the beautiful autumn leaves. Not my favourite time of year as I was a spring baby, but I still can appreciate the beauty of the seasons!

I have been a little absent, but I have been preparing for my friends, who wanted to learn a new technique, and as I wanted an opinion on my ability to teach, I asked them to come round in a learning environment, and share my knowledge with them, and I believe the feed back was they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and want to do more!

So here is the table already and laid out for them to arrive.

They wanted to learn gilding, so I prepared a folder with a laminated instruction sheet, and 4 projects for us to make, and they could be made into complete cards, and a few little embellishments.

We crafted for 2 hours, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and they said they had learnt a good deal, so I was pleased to have passed the knowledge on. It felt so good to be spending time with like minded people, and even better that they went away smiling!

How the small things in life can bring the biggest joys!

Next week I hope to be back into making and will have something to share with you, so for now, hope you have a relaxing evening!

  1. Oh how nice to be able to craft with friends. I used to go to a local shop on Saturday mornings to learn how to use Copics. I so enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the owner retired and the shop closed. There are other shops around, but none real close. I so miss going and crafting with other crafty people! 🙂
