How’s your week been? Well here it has been fast and furious but also quite a lovely one, so happy and contented doesn’t happen often, so we make the most! I spent a lovely Saturday with my friend, just a very luxurious coffee and lots of lovely chat, but it was like a week away on holiday! Just what the doctor ordered! It really is true that a change is as good as a rest! 🙂
This week I sort of had one of those ‘What happen to my crafting mojo?’ periods, where I so wanted to craft, but I swear someone run off with my creative brain! There was just an empty space, with dust flying around, makes me shudder just thinking about it, but it returned just in time for the weekend (might have been the fact that I spent a tinsey whincey bit if money on some crafting goodies, but it worked)….. so my was I pleased about that! I will show you that elation makes next week.
Today I can share the card I made for my brother a few weeks ago. I was really pleased with how it came out and he loved it!
I used Marianne Creatables Rope Die, Nellie Snellen Vintasia Anchor, Heartfelt Creations Everyday Heroes Die, Crafts Too Happy Birthday die, Spellbinders Classic Large and Small Die. Backing papers from The Range and base card from Papermill Direct.
I made the card base myself by scoring half way across the front of an A5 card, and semi-cutting a circular die on the right hand side, and then fold back the right hand side and glued. You may want to trim just a 2mm piece from the edge of the card to make sure it sits properly. I made the port-hole using large and small Spellbinders Circle dies. The decorative trim, was the Heartfelt Creations die, cut down so the decorative portion remained and glued top and bottom of port hole. The crowning glory for me though was the rope feature, which looked almost real and they die cut perfectly with little effort.
Excuse the photos, I grabbed t he pictures just before going to my brothers, so not as good as I would have liked.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
