Birthday Time!

Hello Crafters

Hope the sunshine has reached you all today, and it has raised your spirits and given you the feel good factor, heaven knows we could all do with a large dose of that!

Today I would like to share a couple of cards with you, both took a while to create, but I believe they are always the better ones, most of the time 🙂

This card was made using a few of my favourite dies, the Heartfelt Creations Aster Die, I haven’t got a stamp, I just used Spectrum Noir Pens for the shading, Heartfelt Creations Ariana Die and Stamp, Creative Expressions Stitched Lattice Frames, Tonic Royal Fern, and Cheery Lynn Fishtail Banners for the greeting. The card was from Papermill Crafts and The Range. The Stitched Lattice Frames are lovely and they will make many a card in the future I am sure, and I have my eye on the other two in the Shadow Box collection, but I must be good!

The next card was one for my Nephew, and I hope he liked it. I felt for some strange reason, I wanted some drama, so I went for a bit of dynamic in this one. I wanted the illusion of the car bursting out of the card!

This was made using Spellbinders Delicate Doilies Die, Memory Box Antique Gears Die, Poppy Stamps Happy Birtthday Die, and Woodware Stamps for inside greeting. The background was made using distress inks and Visible Image stamp Pocket Watches, which I think has been discontinued. The corner stamps were from Justrite What I Like About You set. For some of the background I also used stamps by John Bloodworth – amazing stamps – you can do so much woth them. I did spray Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Mist to give it a shimmer.

Well that’s it for now, I hope to share a lovely card next week, with you, one I made for my son.

I hope you all have a wonderful week, and may this sunshine, warm your hearts 🙂

Hugs

Kim x

  1. Two wonderful cards Kim, love the first card for the beautiful lattice die and flowers, bet your nephew liked his card with the drama and colours.
Think I might have to invest in the Lattice.

    • It’s one of those dies that you invest in and find yourself using over and over and didn’t imagine you would! Thanks for visiting 🙂 x

  2. Really pretty summery card, and a fabulous steampunk feel to the other card. I like them both. I particulary love the sentiment: “Birthdays are good for you, the more you have, the longer you live.”. It tickled me in just the right spot. Well done on two great makes.
