How is your crafting going? Well mine has been very little and there is a very good reason for that, which I shall show you in a minute, and it involves a level of cuteness that has captured me well and truly!!!
I was browsing the internet last wednesday evening, and I have been looking for a furry companion, for a very long time, and it has been 9 years since I could bring myself to contemplate another family member, but as I was browsing, this advert caught my eye, and one look and I was hooked…….
He is a Chi-apso, and he is the most sweetest thing ever! He is so good, and so funny, we haven’t stopped laughing since we got him. It must have been fate as his birthday is the day after mine, and his daddy’s mum is the same name as me!
We don’t think he is going to get much bigger than he is, but he is intelligent, loving and affectionate, and very well behaved, so who could ask for more!
So when I should have been making cards, you will have to forgive me, I was having a lovely time playing with my new family member, so I hope you can forgive me?
He does like to help sometimes, so things may take longer than usual to make or prepare, but as with all crafters, we don’t mind helping new crafters to learn and grow.
So now I have got that out my system (as I can’t help telling everyone lol) I can show you the box and card I made last week for my sister-in-laws birthday.
I made a basket with a Scarf inside and because it needed to be fairly big, I made the basket from scratch but used some of the Spellbinders Garden Party to complete it.
I used Spellbinders Grand Ovals (Still available if you click on the link) and Heirloom Oval to make the card, with HC Arianna Blooms and HC Arianna Lace for the flowers with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade for the colour. I used Inkylicious Delicate Vines for the stamped images.
I also made a box to keep the card in as I wasn’t putting it in the post, and this finished the ensemble with SB Circle Delight to finish.
So there you are, just a quick little hello, and off I go to play with Will, that is if he can keep his eyes open.
Have a lovely evening
