Hand Made Cards

Playing with Colour!

Hello Crafters

I hope you have all started your new year with loads of inspiration and lots of ideas.

I haven’t stopped crafting and would gladly give up the day job if I could to craft all the time, but alas then I wouldn’t be able to buy the bits I need to craft *sigh*, so onward we go.

I have had a shift in crafting from die cutting mad to stamping. There is loads of fun to be had with splodges and splats, and that is exactly what I have been doing, and I found a new stamping website too. They are Visible Image, and I bought some of their stamps and the quality is excellent. I will certainly be going back lol! I will feature cards with their stamps in another post once I have finished playing 🙂

I literally picked some colours and started stamping, and this is the outcome. The distress inks Seedless Preserve, Evergreen Bough,Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac work so well together especially using solid stamps, it really enhanced the effect, but I used versa inks for the solid brush strokes.

The stamps I used were from Justrite – Colourful Brush Strokes & Bokeh Time

The die was free in a magazine and was just perfect with the card……I’m on the look out now for some more feather dies!

Here I used Persimmon, Scattered Straw, Crushed Olive and Dusty Concord Distress Inks. The circles just seemed to enhance the splats so I just had to stamp them!

Well I am off to play some more, and also to finish some wedding invitations, that have come along very nicely and all they need are the finishing touches.

Hope you have fun playing and getting inky fingers 🙂
